Top stylists recommend every woman, who wants to look fashionable and be ready for the next autumn-winter 2014-2015, to buy the following things: make-up foundations, powder, cheek colors, lipstick and eyeshadow in sand-colored palette (Alexander Wang, Victoria Beckham, Jason Vu, Vera Wang, Diane von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Lacoste). Make-up artists suggest using glowing makeup foundation, pearl-colored highlighter, transparent lipstick and light pink cheek colors to put an emphasis on your natural features.
This season the leading stylists suggest making an accent on your eyes. So you should equip yourself with a brown or black eyeliner and start learning calligraphy. Thus, you may draw faintly visible lines (like Carolina Herrera`s models) as well as graphic eye lines (like in Mara Hoffman and Zac Pozen fashion show), bright (Marc by Marc Jacobs), swallow-tailed (Carmen Marc Valvo), “a la Brigitte Bardot” (Cushnie et Ochs), thin delicate retro-style lines (Rag&Bon) and even double black-golden lines, as at Badgley Mischka fashion show.
The Wind, Marchesa, Marc Jacobs and Katie Marie Gallagher suggested making an accent either on the upper lid, drawing a curved line, or the lower lid, putting some eyeliner on it. Smeared-out eye contour is considered to be a beauty-trend of this season. Such fashion houses as Jill Stuart, Peter Som and Tanya Taylor have already demonstrated it. Choosing eye shadow, all make-up artists recommend paying attention to those of dark-orange tincture: burgundy, cinnamon, chocolate brown, gold or silver colors (Tess Giberson, Donna Karan, Oscar de la Renta, Helmut Lang, Sally Lapointe, Vivienne Tam,Rodarte, Jason Wu).
This season red lipstick turned out to be not as popular and stylish as it used to be. All modern art-stylists prefer plum, burgundy and mulled wine colors (Marchesa Zimmermann, rebecca minkoff), while natural make-up requires to use such colors as: pink and berry colors, pastel shades and nude colors (Reem Acra, Carolina Herrera, Altuzarra, Tadashi Shoji, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu, Ralph Lauren, Rebecca Taylor). Moreover, putting on “natural” make-up, you have no need to show great zeal, drawing in contours and rouging your lips. Bitten lips look is sure to be on the top of the fashion make-up tendencies. You can get a “half-transparent” floppy effect, stumping lipstick from lip center to the edges.
Brows are still going strong: Brushed, prominent, sable and well defined. Brows remain a key feature with rich makeup hues. Even in the more natural scenario of a natural palette, brows are still healthy, shaped but not diminished and reveal the wearer’s natural brow color.
